ABOUT DOS ABUELAS CARES
Mission Statement
"Our mission is to nourish Puerto's Rico's communities Through fresh food, solar powered farms, student support, and care for our elderly.
We honor our ancestors by building a future where everyone eats, everyone is supported, and no one is left behind."

Our Programs
These programs are the seeds of our mission. We feed students, grow sustainable farms, and teach the next generation—rooted in the belief that Puerto Rico deserves food security, clean energy, and opportunity on our own land.
No student should have to go hungry. We bring hot meals, food boxes, and essential supplies directly to university students so they can stay in school with stability.
We’re helping grow Puerto Rico’s next wave of solar-powered farms—fresh food grown on Boricua soil, clean renewable energy, and community strength when blackouts and emergencies hit.
We teach the next generation to grow and cook their own food, from seed to kitchen. Our program supports low-income and foster youth while building confidence, skills, and Puerto Rico’s food sovereignty.
Your support helps us feed students, build community farms, run youth culinary programs, and operate our nonprofit kitchen—serving meals, delivering food boxes, and reaching communities across Puerto Rico. Every donation moves our programs forward.

Founder's Message
My name is Karaya Crespo, founder of Dos Abuelas Cares, Inc. Everything I’m building is rooted in my abuelas, my ancestors, my culture, and my deep love for Puerto Rico.
I started this nonprofit because our students, our elders, and our communities deserve better — real food, real support, and real, lasting change.

This work is personal. It’s ancestral. I’m here to do the work — rooted in love and built for the people.

One Love,
Karaya
